Zack Chan
Location: Born and raised in San Diego but making a move to Brooklyn early next year.

Tell us a little about yourself:

I’m Zack, a San Diego native working in graphic design. I specialize in brand identity and strategy. The psychology of design is incredibly fascinating to me and I love that I get to play in that space for a living. Just turned 30 this year which feels pretty weird. I get excited about new kitchen appliances and a fresh set of towels now so I think I’m officially past the point of no return in terms of my youth. Outside of work I fill my time with rock climbing, cooking/fermenting things, exploring new natural wines & woodworking. I’ve got a ton of random hobbies and interests but those are the current highlights. I’m also really in to movies, so if you’re reading this, DM me with your top 5 recommendations.

How did you keep busy with time on your hands at home?

I’ve been curious about learning 3D modeling for a handful of years now and being stuck at home seemed like the perfect excuse to finally dig in to it. Architectural Visualization in particular. I’ve been working on a couple of projects featuring a showroom for a local furniture shop as well as my home climbing gym’s new location in Brooklyn (shout out to my Vital homies!). Learning the ins-and-outs of an entirely new process is a lot to wrap my head around but it’s been great to have something that stretches my brain while I’ve been stuck inside. I’ve also spent a ton of time really digging in to where I want to take my career and restructuring my business. My goal is to have a new face and a specialized set of services ready to go before the end of the year.
