Zye Norris Welcome To The Family

Zye Norris is our latest addition to the eccentric rat pack known as the Family Deus. The nineteen year old represents the ideals of Deus lifestyle…fast riding and fluid surfing. He’s a humble coast kid, who’s father had him on the back of a bike and the nose of a surfboard as soon as he could walk. The headlands and hinterlands of the Noosa Shire, in Queensland, Australia, are his playgrounds.

Zye was a relatively unheard of name (outside of Noosa) until he showcased his uncanny longboarding skills last year at the Noosa Festival of Surfing. He absolutely blitzed the Noseriding division and proved what the locals had known all along: Zye Norris is a world–class longboarder. After demonstrating it so blatantly, he caught the attention of the world longboarding scene. Joel Tudor recently invited Zye to surf in his renowned event, The Duct Tape Invitational. Once again, Zye confirmed his freakish abilities and solidified his position among the world’s best longboarders.

What we look forward to here at Deus is where Zye decides to take his natural talent. Today, with a small swell running, he’s out on the Noosa points doing his thing. Who knows what tomorrow holds? Will it be Java, Malibu, Scorpion Bay or Pottival Point? Whatever his plans are, we can’t wait and we hope to document it as best as possible, for you viewing pleasure.
