The Deus 9' & Single Festival - Day 2
The festival of the shore pound has once again proved itself as an awesome and exciting celebration of horizontal surfing. Wompers left their boards at home and dove into the water at Canggu’s river mouth to fulfil their own swim fin fantasies. The Right proved somewhat difficult for most entrants but through the pack shone a handful of talented trimmers. Competitors lifted and drifted and spun for fun, with Luke Flanders, Fraser Biden, Todd Supertramp and Harrison Roach ultimately making the final. Which due to wind-affected conditions, was held off until finals day on Sunday. So more of that in the blogs to come.
On Friday night Temple goers sipped on cold Albens cider as the veils were drawn on Tyler Warren’s new Deus Galley art show, Artificial Flowers. Tyler’s rep as a surf-creative is large. From his shaping to his surfing, wetsuits to clothes, all the way to his oil paintings and the collection of drawings that the crowds admired, his honest style is undeniable. Tyler’s works will be on display until the end of June.
A huge thankyou to the sponsors of the Deus 9’ & Single.
